 Activity 1- Thursday First zoom call

Create an audience profile for the following brief. It can be aimed at a male or female audience.

Objective

A company that makes sportswear and sport gadgets is about to launch its first brand line for children and adults .They want you to create a short promotional video which explains to them that sports is for any race , size and gender You have been asked to produce the video. The video must be between 1 minute long and 2 minutes long and be aimed to launch the new range in a months time.

  • they want to exercise but not enough hours in the day too.
  • they want to spend more time with their family
  • they want to get into shape

This brief tells us that this ad will be for adults and children so for this advert i will use all kinds of people, i will make sure that it is very diverse by using different races and also different body shapes as sports isn't for just men or just for skinny people, sports is for everyone. i will make sure that it is very important that women and girls are shown in this advert as i don't want to portray as sports is just for one gender. As there will be a huge range of ages i will make sure that there will be different age groups doing a certain exercise, each group will have around 10-15 seconds each to show there sports, for example i will have a group of kids ages 5-7 doing races and hula hooping, i will make it look like they are doing a PE lesson is a class as then the genders will not be separated, so this can portray that its for everyone. As the ages get higher there will be different activities to do.for example 

10-15 year olds, i will have a mixture of girls and boys in a skatepark. they will all wear retro outfits too.15-18 year olds, i will have a mixture of boys and girls playing football and also a cheerleading team but they will have a mixture in too.18-35 year olds, i will have the men doing diving and the women doing synchronized swimming, then a quick clip of them having a race together.35-55 year olds, I will have old ladies doing some zumba in a pool and men doing some speed walking.i will also have clips where i will have different families doing different activities like playing badminton, table tennis or boxing.As this advert is about anyone can do anything when it comes to sports i will also have clips of people who have been in the paralympics as they have achieved something in there lives, so having that in this video will be motivation to anyone that they can also do it.

i will do a huge variety of shots as in this video i will want my targeted audience to realise that they can also do anything, no matter what age or what genre you are capable of doing anything

Task One 

what are the most important information that needs to be considered?

Preparation period monitored(2 hours)

-in this time we must review the information in the booklet, we must conduct research activities and make notes which when can take in with us.

Preparation period unmonitored( up to 10 hours)

-in this time we should make some primary research and secondary research about targeted audience.

How long will the activities be?

-Activity 1&2 = 1 hour approximately

-Activity 2&3 = 2 hours approximately

-the whole assessment will take place over six hours 

What are we allowed to take in with us?

-we are allowed to prepare three sides of A4 paper.The notes can contain information from primary and secondary research and facts related to the commision.

-They must NOT include prepared answers for activities or any materials to be used in the activities.  

Task Two 

If you were to complete this exam, which brief would you choose and why?

- if i was to do this exam i would choose commision one: Promotional video. I would choose this commision as my targeted audience is young adults (16-25 year olds) and i believe that young adults, learn/take in more information by watching than reading. I feel like a video will be better better as it will help encourage the change in dietary plans, this is important because as much as doing sports helps to become healthy without a good food diet it wont work, also watching a video is a good educational aspect as it is easier to understand. Within making a video, i am able to expand my idea a lot more, i am able to show how different fitness skills help different people for example: weightlifters have bigger arms than most football players ect. I am also able to give people more of an understatement of real world problems, explaining how sports and becoming healthier helps mental health states. A very good reason to make a video instead is because young adults watch videos a lot more and find videos very catchy this will help promote my video as they will remember my video.
